Recovery Disc compatibility question

We just purchased some Off Lease IBM ThinkPad T22's at our work. They still have warranty but no hidden partition and no recovery discs. I noticed that in the hardware maitenance manual there are Win98 and Win2000 recovery discs for this model, but for the T23's there is also a WindowsXP recovery disc! My question is, could I use the T23's recovery disc with the T22?
