Firstly hello to everyone as this is my first post.
Well I have decided to go wireless as this will hopefully stop the wife from nagging at me being on the computer all day. Now I can be on the computer next to her while she is watching Eastenders instead!
I have brought a second hand T40 2373-75g , set up everything OK - except of course the wireless. It shows which wireless routers are availible to connect to, but when I try to connect to my one it says its 'not associated'??? SSID is correct.
I have a Cisco Aironet MPI350 Wi-Fi (part number 26P8498).
I am confident that I have all the up to date drivers, firmware, Utility program and Thinkvantage access connection programs installed.
When I go to 'Network connections in windows it doesn't show a wireless icon, it shows a LAN...is this right?
Also on Cisco's web site my T40 recommended Wi-Fi adapter isn't the one installed on my T40. Does anyone know if this matters.
Thanks for spending time to read above, if anyone has any comments (regarding my T40 and not the wife) please let me know
Have a nice day Phil.
My T40 is very ill. Wi-Fi not wife problems

1. Set an uniq SSID for your wireless router/Access point(Don't use your wife's name!). You may do this by directly connecting your laptop with the router with a network cable, and then open the adminnistation interface by entering 192.168.0.1 in IE. It is better to read the manual of your router first.
2. Disconnect your laptop, and open your access connection, search wireless network nearby. Hopefully you should be able to see a list of wireless networks (yours and your neighbour's). The one with the SSID you've just set is your router. Click on it and try to connect to it. If you have set security option, input the key/keys.
