BIOS PASSWORD

Hi
Just come back of holiday to find my flat mate has kindly locked my laptop with a bios password is there anyway of getting this of without unscrewing it all and taking the battery out its a ibm thinkpad t40 thanks in advance

If you are going to leave your Thinkpad around people like that you should set the password yourself BEFORE you leave. Personally I would not leave my Thinkpad behind anyway.

(1) If it's true, it sounds like a bad practical joke. Find your flatmate and get him to give you the correct password. Then reset the password to something only you know.

(2) Kick your flatmate to the curb. Who knows what else this person will do to your personal property.
