Ultrabay guide rail with fingerprint???

Does anybody know what is the difference between this and the regular guide rail? I have been playing with adding FP to my machine. The MB supports it, supposedly, and I added a touchpad with a reader, but the guide rail is supposed to be different. I cannot imagine what there is there. Also, there is no fingerprint option in my bios, which is not encouraging. I tried reinstalling the latest bios and resetting to defaults, but no luck.
