T42 Bios info change

I know I am going to get flamed for this....

Story: Have a T42 for about two years, bought used no warnt, worked fine until I dropped it at the airport :-0
Didn’t think much of until it started freezing whenever you typed to hard or slightly jolted it
Unit was under warrnt tech came out and all is well now. Except now there is not info in the BIOS, all zeros. I have a second HDD I use for work on this machine, but our company’s asset tracking and updates are based from the bios? And my machine is not able to access anything on our network since the MB change
Basically I want to know how to get the asset info back into the BIOS. I have heard something about a magic hardware maintenance disk? Any help would be great
