Both should work however they are both faster than what your machine needs. PC4200 DDR2 is the fastest that your machine can "take advantage of." By this I mean, the faster memory you reference will default backwards to the lower specification; you will get no benefit from the faster modules. On the other hand, you may be able to use them in another machine later so that would be one possible advantage if you think you'll ever remove them and use them in another machine.

I have been wondering about this in the last couple of days. PC2-5300 sticks are CL5, whereas PC2-4200 sticks are CL4. 5 cycles of 667MHz and 4 cycles of 533MHz give the exact same absolute latency. However, when you use PC2-5300 modules in a PC2-4200 machine, these modules step down to 533MHz, but will they continue to be CL5? If that's the case, PC2-5300 modules would be slower than PC2-4200 in a PC2-4200 machine like the T43. Or am I mistaken?
