I love my T41!

#1 Post by Temetka » Wed Feb 28, 2007 1:52 am

So I have google video player running a basshunter clip, wimply flv player running another basshunter clip, 2 quicktime movies playing, windows is updating and a defrag going on.

This part requires caps: ZERO DROPPED FRAMES.

ZERO.

I come to expect that from a high end hand built and tweaked desktop machine, but not from a laptop. Most certainly not from a laptop which it 'outdated'.

Why post it here?

Too many tech support questions, and not enough threads simply praising the machines we use.

Oh, and my fan was on, but barely.

I have a T41 that I load up with all kinds of things (6 computers in total all on one hard drive, any three of which can be running simutaneously, for example) and it serves me well.

The best story of praise for my T41 is that I had it open and running in a London hotel (oceans away from home and repair) and accidentally pulled it onto the floor from from the night table. I picked it up and carried on.

Hard to say enough good things about it. ... JD Hurst

I run Vista on it, in SXGA. Now that I found the ATI Mobility Radeon 9000 driver will work, I am perfectly happy with it.

Approx. 6 hours uptime with the extended battery - that's hard to beat!

Yes. These machines are truly 'a cut above'. Normally I don't really care about the machine, but Thinkpads have always evoked a sense of class and style from me. I have always said if I don't have a Mac I will have an IBM. There is simply no other company or product I would consider.

Today I did a cleanup to my T42p: I really love the black design and slim fit these machine has. I think I would even get more in love if I get a X60, very slim and powerful machines. Like in a laptop review site described: Thinkpads are the Cadillacs of laptop, and indeed they are
