I Have A T43. External DVD Burner???

#1 Post by CRSO » Fri Mar 16, 2007 2:35 pm

My T43 didn't come with a DVD burner and I want to get an external.

Anybody have any recommendations? There are a few Sony and a brand called Lite-on? There are no reviews anywhere...

I use an NEC 6550 in an external enclosure. I originally got the drive for my T22, so when I moved up to my T41 I got a USB enclosure. However if I were to do it now without having one I would try to get an internal drive. I think you can get one for under $100 now.

I bought a Sony External DVD+-RW.

I hope it does the job...

I'm using one by Panasonic (can't remember the model number). It's a slim external, USB 2.0, dual layer DVD burner, no external power adapter needed (i.e. it's powered by USB 2.0).
