Hi!

Im new to notebooks and im also new to this forum.
Just got my T41p yesterday, and oh my god it rocks. I really adore the build quality, and general feel of the notebook. Its really great. Same goes for the screen, the 1,7GHz PM and the FireGL T2.

But now, is there something i should know about this wonderful machine? Any flaws, good software updates, tips and tricks?

When i first got it, i updated it with XP SP2. It didn't work very well. The windows firewall kept disabling itself and the security centre keps popping up because of that. And it just went weird in general.

I might fear that some of IBM's software might be incompatible with SP2.

yeah i had that problem (windows firewall disabled on restart) a couple of times too initially. But now i don't have it anymore. i dunno how.

make sure you update your software & drivers - alot of the software/drivers have added support for SP2
