Dock II issue...has a weird smell?

OK guys I just bought a Dock II for my T42 and it is working great, but I have one issue with it. It has that electronic smell emanating from it. I thought maybe the unit I got was defective so I called the company I bought it from and they sent me a second one and it smells exactly the same. I doubt I got two bad units since they were both manufactured at different times. Has anyone experienced this with there Dock II?

Any electronics can smell to some extend in the beginning as components get warm for the first time, it should get away though with use.
I do not recall my Dock to explicitly smell weird, considering the above.
If it smells like a rotten egg, then you have a problem (as then most likely one of the capacitors, most likely in power supply, has blown), but I would be surprised if you hit two in a row having this problem, especially since this normally only occurs with the product when it gets quite old.

I agree that it would be a slim chance that I hit two docks manufactured months from each other that both have an issue. I am familar with the different smells since I am a Sys Admin and work with computers everyday. This didnt smell like something burning so I wasnt worried that much, but I figured I didnt want to get a bum unit.

If you have the dock II with the fan put your nose up to the fan hole and see if you nitice anything at all.
