Returning a T42 to IBM question

If a T42 is purchased direct from IBM and there is something wrong with it that causes a need to return it does IBM credit the credit card quickly or is it a stretched out process?

That will vary. I returned mine (I had a case number because of a problem) and ordered a new one, since I didn't want to wait for the exchange process.
From the time I shipped it untill my card was credited was just over a week.

IBM should credit your account after they have received and processed your return. Mine took about 10 days.
