I'm looking to buy a used T42p 2373-Q1U. The IBM specs on this do not state that it has the flexview screen, even though it is the 15" 1600x1200; it just says "IPS". Question is, is this spec listing on the site an oversight? Does this or does it not have the flexview? I don't know where to source an old TABook to check.
Thanks!
Does this machine have flexview or not?
OK, so I think I've answered my own question by reading the ThinkWiki site on Thinkpad displays. Flexview is one type of IPS screen (the other is called FFS), and the only 15" one made for a T42p is from IDTech (part N150U3). So this machine DOES have a Flexview screen. Looks like one of the last-made and highest-spec T42s made by Lenovo before they dropped the T42 line.
