using an x series power cable with a t series

#1 Post by uzibear » Fri Apr 06, 2007 7:30 pm

i just got a T42. i happen to have a power cable from an x41 laptop. i looked on the back and they aren't identical. the x41 puts out less amps, and the input is 1.5A rather than 1.6A

anyway, i'm thinking if it was the other way around (t series battery pack on an x series laptop) it would be bad, but in this case, will i harm my laptop by using it? i intend to bring the x41 battery pack with me in my backpack, and leave the standard t42 one at home.

is this ok? will it hurt my battery?

Um ... I found your questions difficult to follow. Do you mean AC adapter or cable? What does it mean to use a T series battery pack on a X41?

You can use a T42 72W adapter for X41.

Don't use the smaller power supply. You can do serious damage.
