I think IBM may have screwed up my laptop.. need some help.
I asked the lady on the phone to upgrade to the a/b/g wireless card, and she did, and charged me the installation fee, saying that it would be very difficult to install myself.. I thought the installation would be internal, but they ended up sending me a cardbus adapter.. What should I do? Would it be better to keep this plug in thing or send back the computer to get the whole card installed? I assume if I called, they can get it sorted out, but would it be worth it? Is there a downside to the cardbus adapter?
edit: Also, the side of the keyboard next to the optical drive is very flimsy. This is the only construction problem I can see, so I was wondering if it's a real problem, or just something that I should deal with.

Send the cardbus adapter back! The puny antenna can't compete with the antenna from the mini-pci card. It's not that difficult to install and if necessary you could get a friend to help. You don't want that big ugly thing sticking out the side of your sleek new computer, either. Tell them you want the "installation" fee refunded also

Not much you can do about the flimsy optical drive cover. Yes, the a/b/g card is user installable. Requires removing the keyboard and palmrest.
