lenovo theme

#1 Post by bfgun » Mon Apr 23, 2007 4:11 pm

This might be a T4x/t60 question - when you get a new machine from lenovo, it comes with a windows theme, but after installing a clean image on the machine, i realized i have not been able to locate the standard theme that comes with the thinkpads. i'm not too worried about the wallpaper, but more of wanting the font names, settings, sizes and so forth.

If anyone can find them for me or steer me in the right direction, that would be great.

Thanks!
B

... unfortunately, I don't about font names, settings etc. after inst. of (presumably XP?) clean image, but this page might help: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/usin ... ary17.mspx Perhaps someone can save a complete theme, zip and mail it for you?

BTW, the original IBM/ThinkPad wallpaper (and screensavers) can be found here: http://www.mocom.ru/Wallpapers/ibm.htm and many also at ftp://ftp.software.ibm.com/pc/pccwww/ww ... /wallpaper and http://www.wallpaper9.com/index.php?level=album&id=35

Beware that the screensaver will not work under Vista Business (or, at least I couldn't make it do so!).

I just use the Windows Classic theme with no wallpaper. Fonts in that theme work just fine. ... JDH

I went back and read the first post again. Probably when you turf the preload (in reality, there is not much wrong with the preload), and install something different, then you probably need to be satisfied with what you have.

You could always reimage with the preload, save to CD or USB the files and folders you want from that preload, and then install something different.
