battery life on T42?

#1 Post by meksta » Mon Oct 04, 2004 5:09 pm

just wondering what everyone else is getting....

I got about 2:45 letting it idle (never in standy).

-cpu at 600mhz
-wifi on low power setting
-lcd at 5 bars

is my battery weak? or is this the norm....less than advertised at 4 hours

Sounds a little low. Depends on the rest of your settings.

Typical slightly-used battery is 42-44WH. I can get 4 hours from that using Super Power Saver mode. I pull 10-10.5W. That is at screen brightness 0. Kicks up to about 12-12.5W at 5 bars of brightness- but that should still be 3:15 or so.

BTW - mine is a 14" (2373-3VU)

Mine is more than 3h w/o wireless and slihtly lowered brightness. i have 14.1" SXGA+, 1.7GHz. You should post atleast your display type and CPU.
