T43p Max Ram

My new to me, well not so new anymore, I have had this ThinkPad for nearly a month reports 3gb of ram in BIOS and CPU-ID. Windows properties only state 2gb. I have a 2gb PC-5300 part under the keyboard and a 1gb PC-4200 underneath.

I think Windows properties are not reporting correctly.

Any thoughts?

In task manager the total ram is listed as 2gb. So it looks like Windows is not seeing the 3rd gb.

Anyone else?
