Running XP on this little wonderbox has been a pleasure until the laptop did refuse to stay in standby mode but pops back up instantly no matter of method used: FN+F4 or lid down.
My suspicion is a newly wifi driver installed for the wireless card but traversing any settings for the driver has not helped.

T41p - standby mode impossible
Re: T41p - standby mode impossible
It's pretty rare for a driver to prevent a unit from going into standby, far more likely to be some program or script running in the background.Happy wrote:Seen this before?
All you can do is open Task Manager, start killing processes and then attempting to go into standby.
