Thinkpad T40 no sound from laptop speaker

My Thinkpad T40 speaker does not produce any sound

. It used to but suddenly I do not know what happened. Now, I can only hear sound through my headphone but not through laptop speaker. All the drivers are fine and working.

I am looking for your help. Thank you.

loose connection maybe? have u disabled the lenovo hotkey, it stopped working for me when i did that, i just re-enabled it ... started

Me too have doubt regarding loose connection. Yes, hotkey is enabled and works perfectly fine. If it is loose connection, how do I repair it?

I am hoping to find someone with same problem or expert suggestion.

Please help me.

Laptop without sound looks tasteless.
