T42 Problems !!! (TV-Out & USB2)

Hi all,

I have a 2.5 year old T42 (warranty expired). Suddenly TV-OUT seems to have stopped working. I used presentation director to play movies successfully till recently. I tried different s-video cables, no luck. so is my S-Video port fried or something?

I also have the USB port problem. If any USB2.0 is device plugged into the ports ... i get a warning saying "This device an perform faster" message

What will it cost to get my motherboard replaced (I think this is the case since USB and TV-out seems to have gone)

Any help/suggestions will be appreciated.

Have you tried using Control Panel Display Properties, to switch ON your TV so that your laptop signal is sent to your TV? You can do that using the Screens sections, when you click Properties of the ATI Control Panel
