Should i junk my T40 or repair it?

#1 Post by subwing » Thu Oct 07, 2004 9:12 pm

Well, i got a 2373-92u T40 with a busted system board :( -- water got on it. IBM wants 600 bucks just for the board, labor i can cover for myself since I opened my T40 before.

Do you think it's worht it to fix it or should i just wait and get another one, cost wise ? :?

If the mobo is the only thing that was damage by the water than it's probably cheaper to replace it with a T40/T41/T42 board of your choice :)

But if the optical drive, hard drive, LCD, etc were potentially damaged then I'd sell the parts on this board and get a new one.
