Deleting Accidently-Created Backup Partition

#1 Post by zeus95 » Thu Oct 07, 2004 10:21 pm

I accidently created a 10 GB backup partition with IBM Rapid Restore Software. After reformatting/reinstalling the OS and drivers with the HPA, the partition does not show up in "My Computer" anymore, as it did before as "Single File Restore." How can I delete it without wiping out the HPA? I do not care to reformat the Windows partition again if I have to.

I am using a T40 model 2373-72U (1.5 GHz Banias with 802.11b Centrino and 3-year warranty), if that is any more help. Thanks.

Update:

I disabled the HPA in the BIOS, went into Disk Management in Windows and deleted the 11.25 GB partition. After deleting it, the space was added to the 2.9 GB "Unallocated Partition" that was listed, which may be the HPA. How can I reallocate the space to the main partition? Thanks.
