backup/recovery

#1 Post by shredfitz » Mon May 14, 2007 7:42 pm

Ok. I have a T40 2375-14U. It does not have a recovery partition and I do not have recovery disks.

I have a 30gb hdd that I dual boot Ubuntu 7.04 and XP pro. I want to remove the XP and use Ubuntu only, but I also want to be able to return the Thinkpad to XP if needed for classes or if I decide to sell it.

I don't have any valuable data on the XP partition, I would just like to restore it to factory settings with all of the proper Thinkpad T40 drivers and updates and such.

Would this be easier for me just to try to find the recovery disks or is a backup image pretty easy?

Thanks for your input.
