Best (cheapest/fastest) DVD-RW for T42?

I thought I posted this and now it doesn't show up.

Any suggestions for fastest (and cheapest) quality DVD writer for the T42, Need some help wth th one. Thanks

Are you ok with the flat bezel? If so, then the way to go is UJ-842.

I have the UJ-842 and it works well.

Actually, the cheapest and fastest DVD writer for the T42 is an external drive (I also have a USB - NEC writer). I use the external writer when I'm doing multiple burns, as it's faster at 16x speed, and also saves 'wear' on my internal drive. With the newer firmware of the external drive, it writes to a lot of 'medium quality' media (Phillips, Ritek) at 8x and 12x speeds, vs 2x and 4x with my UJ-842 drive.

If you can get by without an internal writer, which I can't due to travel with my work, you would be pleased with the lower price and higher speed of an external writer.

I agree - if the bulk of your burning is done in house and not while you're on the road, you'd probably be better off with an external burner. Speed wise and price wise it can't be beat - my LG burner and 5.25" external enclosure cost me about $80 Australian and it does well with all quality media and speed ratings.
