if you are not always far away from power, it is not necessary

what's more ,the 9 cell battery is much heavier

I find that there's no comparison between my Sony 6-cell and Sanyo 9-cell. If you want more than a 90 minutes of usage time, even after repeated uses (the 6-cell wears down rapidly and is hard to revive), you must get the 9-cell. I don't find the size/weight penalty to be noticeable, but I have a 14" T42. I can't imagine a 15" without a 9-cell.

The 9 cell batter extends out much when fixed t4x,

it looks so monstrosity……

Is there an ultrabay-style secondary battery that works with the T4x, and, does it give you more juice than the extra 3 cells?
