drivers for ATI Mobility Radeon 7500

Please let me know where I can get the latest driver for the ATI Mobility Radeon 7500 for my T41. I tried the ati.amd site but it was not listed.

ok, i went to ibm site and downloaded latest ati driver for my T41. I still only can get max res of 1024 x 768. I have another t41 that I can get to 1400 x 1050 res. Videos are bot h ati mobiltiy radeon 7500's. I did notice on the one I can get to the higher res. has an internal dac of 400mhz and the low res has an internal dac of 350mhz.

The drivers are still more recent on the higher res t41 (5/25/05).

There are different screens across various T41 models, and it is the ATI driver which interogates the T41 hardware to determine the maximum resolution it can handle.

If you look up the full model numbers of your two T41s on the Lenovo support web site, it is highly likely you will find that the hardware screen resolution is different between the two.

I did that, strange because both are XGA (1024X768) TFT with 32MB ATI Radeon 7500.
Is there anyway to tell what panel is installed without having to take it apart?


I just got the T41 with the lower resolution back from warranty repair. The screen is not as bright as the one with the higher res. If you compare the two with a white backround (I use a new notepad or word doc) one is noticably dimmer. I don't think this has anything to do with the res., I plan on returning asking for the lcd to be replaced.
