hey,

i'm in the market to upgrade my 60gig to as big as it'll go.
is there any list of compatible drives i can go off so i won't get that 2010 error?

Which machine do you have? If you've a T43/p you could buy a 100GB 7K100 and do the firmware trick. No Seagate's here (newer models)

What about if you get the 7K100. IS easy to flash it so that it works with your machine.

Get a Fujitsu MHV2120AH, plug it in and it works out of the box, no flashing of firmware required.
