Ok, so someone out there in ThinkPad land has to be running a TV Tuner of some sort in their system. The questions that follow are what I am looking for:
1. What brand?
2. How has your experience been so far?
3. Drivers kept current?
I ask these ?'s because I am thinking of replacing my current desktop with my T43p and the TV Tuner is pretty much a must have for that to happen.
I also have a Dock for my system and I was thinking of putting the card in that.....
Any help would be greatly appreciated....
Thanks guys!
Matt

If you run a network of some sort at home, I highly recommend you to consider the option of Slingbox.
I have been using my desktop to watch TV for probably over 10 years, going all the way back to the ISA version of ATi TV card. When I first trying to add TV watching function to my T40p couple years ago, I've looked at different options including USB2 and pcmcia. I finally bought ATi Tuner USB 2.0 but I wasn't completely happy with it. Seems taking lots of cpu ( because of USB2 ) and having to deal with driver issues.
Few months ago I finally bought Slingbox Pro after seeing how well it worked in my friend's house, and I love it. TV quality rivials my desktop's AIW ( which is very very good ) and sometimes I think I actually get better picture quality than my AIW. I don't need to connect a cable to my laptop, so I can take my wireless connected laptop to backyard to watch TV if I wanted to. Their software is very easy to setup and I can also watch my home's TV channel ( hometown hockey game ) from a hotel that has high speed internet. I also feed my front enterance's cctv signal into a cable channel so I can actually see my son coming home from a hotel 3000 miles away !!
Overall I am very happy with this setting. If you consider this option made sure you buy the newer version ( Slingbox Pro, Slingbox TV, etc ) instead of the original Slingbox for a better TV decoder.
Hope this helps.
