Was expecting laptop today but my shipment status is Exception and the current activity is 'PACKAGE WAS DELAYED BY A FOOD AND DRUG ADMINISTRATION HOLD.' Any clue how long these holds last? Is there a standard wait or is it ever how long they want to hold it? My docking station got here today, I'm just getting teased...

Sounds like someone tried to import more than a notebook with your computer.

And I thought that powder on my new T42 was just dust.........

Seriously, I suspect it's just going through customs. I'd be surprised if it is any big deal. You'll have your ThinkPad soon.

yeah it's going through customs. ups is really bad at updating tracking too. you'll have it soon.

Something else I didn't think about when I posted that... I bet the FDA is off today like the rest of government so that's +1 day.

I assume that "import scan" means that the FDA hold is released?
