Which games can i play on my T40?

Hello,
I am planning to buy an Thinkpad T40, and i was wondering which games i can play on the device.

Games that i play usually:

• GTA San Andreas / GTA Vice City (doesn't matter me, i like both)
• Halo: Combat Evolved
• Trackmania Nations
• Unreal Tournament 2003 / Unreal Tournament 2004 (doesn't matter me, i like both)
• Need for speed most wanted / underground 2 (doesn't matter me, i like both)

Can someone (who maybe has tried this) tell me which game do run, and which do not

ofc. it depends on the amount of ram and processor speed but I have found with some friends that:

-GTA kinda sucks because either you're playing at 800X600 or it's SUPERCHOPPY
- Halo is about worse...
-Trackmania works good, even up to 1200x1024
- Unread tournament 2k3 works good, 2k4 is same as GTA
- NFSMW works but underground2/carbon/... are all 800x600

They will all run, but very few will run like they are meant to.
Example: Underground 2 on my T43p (2ghz, 1GBram, 7200rmp disk and a good grapics card) is still choppy in the 1200x1024 range at some points (in some parts of the city where a LOT has to be renderd and e.g. some things are to get the police of your back).

In all honesty, if you need a laptop buy a T40, it's great, but if you want to game, stick to a desktop pc and deck it out, you'll have WAY more pleasure of it.

Okay, so if i understand you....
If i set the resolution not too high (like 800x600)
I can play most games ?
If i can play it at medium quality with a resolution of 800x600 or 1024x768, it is fine

Yeah, 800 or 1024 should work on 85 to 90% of the games (exept for crazy stuff like Half Life 2 or something)

I had no idea of what your acceptance level was, so I just awnserd out of my own. (And I am a picky guy )
