Configuring 2nd hdd with ATA hard drive adaptor

I am unable to get XP Pro to see a new 60 gb hdd (fru 39T2523) that I loaded into a new ATA hard drive adaptor ( fru 41n5661). This hdd is a hitachi HTS 541060g9at00. Can someone point me the location for the driver for this? Or perhaps there is something I need to do within XP Pro to get it to see the drive?

The drive needs to be partitioned and formatted. Go to Start > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Computer Management > Storage > Disk Management. From there you should be able to initialize, partition and format the drive. Go to Start > Help and Support and type Disk Management in the search box to learn how to manage your disks.
