Yeahhh!!! I got a T42

#1 Post by VladFromMinsk » Wed Jun 06, 2007 2:22 pm

Well fellows, I'm a proud owner of T42. I've won it at ebay in US (with the aid of my friends - i'm from Belarus which was excluded from the Human Rights Commetee at UN - and everyone at eBay afraids I'm a fraud guy :)
So what i have now:
t42 for 460 bucks (included S/H to NYC) and saved $70 for USPS international shipping (thanks to my friend who came here to vacation)
the specs are the follows:
PM 1.7GHz
1.0GB Ram (hmmm... the seller listed as 512MB), added more 512, now I have 1.5GIGs
100GB 7K100 travelstar HDD (took from my previous T40 that I forward to my father, and his R40e was forwarded to my office needs) - reinstallation was problemless
ATI 7500 32MB video (quiet enough for me as I'm not a gamer)
DVD\CD-RW drive for burning MP3's with Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd etc. for my car listening :)
9-cell extended life battery (holds charge at 70%)
14 inches XGA screen
fantastic condition.

Just uploaded with IBM's software.
Feeling lucky! :)

Peace.

Vlad
