IBM didn't take my old 9-cell battery back when they gave me the new one, which I've been using since.
I kept my old one with about 50% charge in it, and I store it in my fridge!
Recently, I've been tempted to use it: I believe only 10 or so such batteries exploded, and (I think) I read somewhere that there's only a possibility of them doing so if they're dropped/banged.
Should I see a shrink or what

, am I in denial? Or should I take a chance and use it?
