#1 Post by cyborg » Sat Jun 16, 2007 7:16 pm

Anyone think they'll ever release a vista driver that'll support the s-video out? I have a t40. ;)

Check the release notes for older versions of Catalyst for Vista (7.1-7.3) to see if your card is supported. I found that my ATI card was supported around version 7.2 but discontinued thereafter. As for connecting the S-Video, it is no longer done through the display properties, connecting the S-Video is now achieved through the Windows Mobility Center. You will see a "Connect Display" button. If you can't find a version of Catalyst that supports your driver, I do know that a Vista driver is in the making over at www.omegadrivers.com

My thinkpad has a Mobility Radeon 7500 for which there is no Vista driver. I've used the XP driver because I needed the controls for S-Video (black&white PAL problem) so you can try that.
Unfortunately the driver will crash your system when using a screensaver so it isn't much help.
