Where to find technical info on Thinkpads such chipsets etc

Hi.
Where can I find more technical info on thinkpads expect for that on IBM's website? Their website is OK but doesnt go too far and is sometimes wrong... I'm mainly after info on motherboard chipsets...

Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Where on IBM's site have you looked? Did you read the FAQ at http://forum.thinkpads.com/viewtopic.php?t=1689 and look at the site referenced in item #1? TECBOOK in that ftp directory may have the information you're looking for.
