apparently nothing.. i opened them in tabs side by side and just switched back and forth. The only difference i see is 1GB vs 1 GB. Not an actual difference, just the way it's written. Other than that it's exactly the same info on 2 different pages.

Well, besides the "1GB" and "1 Gb", I think the real difference would be in the type of warranty that was provided. If you have the serial numbers of those systems, plug them into here:

http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... yle=lenovo

I think for the T23s it is "3 year EZServe" (2647) vs "special bid 3 year onsite" (2648).

I saw that as well. I guess my question is why (2) models for the same machine? What makes a 2373 a 2373, and what makes a 2374 a 2374? Is it common for IBM/Lenovo to have different models for the same machine?

Mine is a 2373, and it has 3 year onsite maintenance. The other one belongs to Gator. I'll ask him to plug the serial into your link.

I know the base cover is different for the 2374 vs 2373 machines. The differences are certainly minor, but I have never put 2 side by side to compare.

I can't see any differences in the configuration either ... my warrany lookup says:

"This product has a special bid three year limited warranty. This product is entitled to parts, labor and on-site repair service (9x5 next business day) in approved locations. Thinkpad batteries have a one year warranty."
Now: T60 2613-EKU | T23 2647-9NU | 600X 2645-9FU | HP 100LX
Past: X31 2673-Y13 | T41 2374-3HU | T22 2647-AEU

Rules of the road :thumbs-UP:

Thanks Gator. The 2373 warranty states the following;

"This product has a three year limited warranty which includes a warranty upgrade. This product is entitled to parts and labor and includes on-site repair service. Service is available Monday-Friday, except holidays, with a next business day response objective."

So like Ray said, it may be this 'special bid' thing that is the difference. Does anyone know what 'special bid' is?
