Reformatting Tonight using the recovery partition. Question!

Im planning on starting over this evening by using the recovery partition. However, i have a quick question. I upgraded the included Intel 2100 Wireless B card to the Intel 2200 Wireless G card....

What steps should i take to ensure a error free install? Just restore it like normal, then install the driver for the card after the restoration?

You might get better results if you install from a slimstreamed Windows XP Pro SP2 CD. Restoring from HDD or Recovery CD will bring back all the unwanted applications and outdated drivers.

i THINK the recovery process will detect the different wifi card and install the correct driver for it..
as long as it is an IBM branded wifi card..

would be interested to know if this is really the case..

i believe this to be so from watching the same recovery CD set recover different thinkpad modesl with different configuerations..
