Two slots in T41.One of them can be accessed after removing the keyboard. The other one at the bottom is easy to reach.

If you ned help removing the keyboard, you download the hardware matinence manual from lenovo's website. Simply click on support and downloads, enter the type number and find it under manuals. The HMM will tell you how to remove every componet on your T41.

thanks Stargate for that, I needed the manual

Edit: I made a mistake, I started to take screws off from laptop before I understood that I should get manual. I am not sure if I got all screws in right places. Is it possible to put them in wrong holes? can it damage the laptop?

Any way 2 gb ram now and laptop still working!!

If you look on the bottom of the computer, you will see the numbers 1-4 with the different screw lengths. Now you will see one of those numbers beside each screw hole. Thats how you what goes where.

I read in one thread here where someone put the wrong screw in the wrong hole. While tightly securing the screws with the laptop closed a longer screw marked up the LCD when it came through the keyboard side of their ThinkPad.

Be careful out there.
