I tried to put my Sony Ericsson card into Access Connections, and it turned out to be a bad idea. One outcome was that the Laptop would sometimes not boot completely. Hung somewhere on Access Connections or the Wireless card. I tried uninstall / re-install to no avail. I finally purchased a copy of Registry First Aid from Rosecitysoft and ran it. The laptop has been absolutely flawless ever since. It had been flawless up to the point of try to get Access Connections to run the Sony Ericsson card. Just my experience and YMMV. ... JDHurst

I also have the intermittent Access Connections crashes. I now only run Access Connections when I want to change the connection profile. If you exit the application by right-clicking the Access Connection icon in the system tray and select 'exit', it does not start up automatically when you reboot. Windows remembers the last connection profile you had before you rebooted...

I guess it could be a registry problem. JDHurst, when you ran Registry First Aid, did you have to tell it what to do, or did it simply run some kind of consistency check and clean it up automatically?

Thanks

Since 3 days now, access connection doesnt work properly, it disconnects from time to time even in the connection is avalaible.
The windows Wlan icone is on, and the connection works but AC doesnt say anything.

don't know why this is happening, when AC is off everything run perfectly

I called IBM tech support about Access Connections problems and was told since I'm not having to manage multiple profiles, using the default Windows wireless connections is actually better. He said just uninstall it, which I did. He advised also uninstall the driver for the wireless card. Then -- turn of machine (not just reboot) & turn back on. It all worked. Simple, working access. Well -- small glitch, since I'm going to reimage the machine with a new hard disk I tried "playing around" with Access Connections again & now my machine's really messed up! Too bad it's not stable: I found Intel Pro's wireless info display more informative than Window's.
