Hi ,
I am having a serious and rather strange problem with my T40 Thinkpad. All of a sudden, my display has gone and I started getting the blank screen, I tried Fn+F7 and the display comes back when I select the option (LCD + External Display) but then it goes off immediately after few seconds. I am not able to understand what the problem could be as I have installed the drivers as well but no luck. I tried logging in Safe Mode and restored the state to the previous date but still it did not work. I tried running the system tests in BIOS (not sure whether the correct way or not) but it did not work as well (the display would go off even when the windows is not loaded.
I am assuming it could be some problem with the Display adapter. I have ATI Mobility Radeon 7500 installed.
I am looking at this forum to get a solution to my problem. Any help or pointers in this regard would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Kalcy
