I have an IBM Thinkpad T43 Type 1871. Not sure what that means, and I don't know if it's a P or anything else.
What I DO know is that I have one of those "bigger" batteries, that sticks out of the back of the laptop. This battery has always served me well and I'm very happy with it.
Recently, the battery light on the screen (next to the Bluetooth, and hard disk light, and caps lock, etc) is blinking YELLOW all the time (when it's on battery power, and when it's completely full).
When I place my mouse over the battery program (looks like a green battery on it's side and tells you how long you have left on battery power), it says this: 3:08 hours (93%) remaining, Battery 2: Error detected.
I don't have a battery 2. No matter how much I looked all over, I can't seem to get rid of this message. I also can't stop the battery indicator from blinking!
Has anyone encountered this before, or know what it could be?
Thanks for helping!!!
Michelle
