Hi folks-
My system is a T30 2366-51U.
I run an application for work that is heavily dependent on OpenGL. Never had a problem with it until I did a flurry of updates mid last week. I updated everything from the BIOS, video driver, added presentation director (never used it before), the works. Everything is up to date from IBM and Microsoft, except I'm still on XP SP1 due to corporate "issues" and some known software incompatibilities.
What happens is this: I boot. Everything works fine. At some point after some number of standby-resume cycles, suddenly graphics performance goes in the toilet. It's as if hardware accelleration isn't working, though the settings say it is working. If I do Fn-F7, and choose "My normal display settings" everything immediately returns to working well.
Since I updated so many things at once, and several of them could be related to this, it would be a pain to piecemeal pull out pieces and see what caused the problem.
Any thoughts? I focus on Presentation Director because I never used it until now, so I may uninstall it and see if the problem goes away.
I look forward to any thoughts you all may have on this.
Marc
