T41 100% CPU usage please help!

#1 Post by ichibahn » Fri Oct 22, 2004 12:51 am

hi guys!

any ideas why this is happening in my T41 thinkpad?? when I view the
task manager the process is rundll32.exe which utilizes the CPU to
100%

I've already scanned my notebook but no virus were found also tried
reformatting the whole system but still I'm encountering this
problem intermittently.

Everytime this happens my notebook will not shutdown properly after
prompting to end the rundll32.exe process so i have to hard reset
the notebook.

appreciate your help in advance

thanks!
allan

You need to update Active Protection, Battery MaxiMiser and Power Management Features.

Sorry forgot to add ...
Update connector is not foolproof. I've got the latest Audio drivers installed and it still insists I install the previous version. Personally I always check the drivers matrix table for the latest driver levels.
