Sound buttons not working on T40

I have in a long time had some problems with the buttons to sound up/down and mute on my T40.

Since I first time recon. the problem, i have had my T40 reinstalled a lot of times. S that wont help.

The problem is that sometimes none of the 3 buttons work and other times the mute and sound down works.
It's veri mystiqe...

After this reinstallation they don't work at all.
I have on www.lenovo.com detected my T40 and downloaded audio.
uninstalled the exsisting audio and restart.
Installed the new down loaded and restartet.
Still not working.

There is sound on the pc, but I can't up/down...

I have tryed another keyboard to see if mine was broken.
But same problem.

I don't know how a laptop is working.
But if all keyboard button works on 2 diff. keyboard except from sound up/down and mute, then the problem can't be hardware ?

Any good software ideas ? )
