Keyboard sizes for difference screen sizes

#1 Post by Andy M » Thu Jul 26, 2007 8:16 am

Im after a replacement keyboard for a T42 and have been told only 14" versions will fit, and the 15" versions have physically bigger keyboards?

Is this correct?

nope, they all use the same (size) keyboards. That's why the 15" models have a wider gap on the sides of the keyboards.

14.1" and 15" models have different FRUs for keyboards. My understanding is that they are NOT interchangeable.

They mount differently. 14" keyboards use 4 screws and 15" use 3 screws. They only fit the correct size.
