Will this fit into T41?

I dont know must it be sata or ata?

It must be PATA (SATA will only work in T43's or newer Txx ThinkPads. EDIT: See SHoTTa35's clarification about the T43 SATA/PATA-issue, two posts further down).

If you choose a 7200 rpm drive, in stead of the 5400 rpm drive you think of, you will achieve a noticably faster ThinkPad. If you read this thead, you will find a comparison of 5400 versus 7200 rpm drives.

well to clarify, the T43 uses PATA drives also. They have a SATA to PATA bridge so unless that bridge is removeable you can't use SATA on the T43.
