Multi-Burner Ultrabay Slim Drive or Enhanced Drive?

#1 Post by rickslate » Fri Oct 22, 2004 4:25 pm

Quick question for you guys. I'm looking to buy a T42 model #2379R9U. It comes with a DVD/CDRW Combo V drive. When I get the computer, I want to sell the drive on eBay and immediately replace it with a Multi-Burner. The question is, which burner do I buy? (which goes in that slot, is one much better?)

'ThinkPad Multi-Burner Ultrabay Slim Drive' or 'ThinkPad Multi-Burner Ulrabay Enhanced Drive'

Both are the same price but apparently only the Slim one can go in the slim drive. Too confusing.

The slim drive is what you want.

But it would be cheaper to buy an external made by vendors such as lacie.
