Memory for T40 ???

Hi,

Owner of a T21, I had lot of problem to find memory that turn on it.

So, if my buyer on e-bay is a correct one, I will have soon a T40.

And naturelly I asked me if it accept all memory or not ?

Standard kingston memory is it Ok ?
Or will I be forced to find again IBM compatible ?

Should be fine.

The T40 uses PC2100, but PC2700 will work too, it'll just clock it down.

Yes, you will have far less issues with ram compatibility compared to the T21.

Look for "33L3069" or "33L3070" on eBay. Remember to search not only the title but also the description.

Prices are finally starting to come down on PC2700 RAM too. There was a great deal at Fry's a few weeks ago - 1GB for $64.99 with free shipping! If you shop around, you can probably find comparable deals. I like using dealnews.com, dealram.com, and dealcatcher.com (thanks pianowizard!) for finding these items.
