New 14.1" T42- screen flex
New 14.1" T42- screen flex
I just recieved my new 14.1" T42 (specs in sig), and so far everything is great... except for what I perceive to be a problem with flex near the hinges of the screen. When the laptop is closed, the side where the screen attaches to the base is bowed slightly up, and bends in when I grasp it from that edge. Another user posted a similar complaint, along with pictures that closely correspond to what I'm seeing. My question is: is this normal, or a manufacturing defect? It certainly doesn't make me happy, but if all T42s are like this and it's not a sign of a flaw in my particular machine, I can live with it. I was also blessed with no dead pixels, so I'm hesitant to just send it back.
Advice, anyone?
Advice, anyone?

Thanks you two- it's good to know I didn't get a lemon. Do you think I should be particularly careful holding the laptop from that edge, or is it alright? I went with IBM because reliability was a big issue for me, so I'd like to think I can carry it however I want =).
