I have a T42 with the Intel 2200 B/G wireless card. When I install the Cisco VPN client (4.0.3(A)), it turns off my wireless radio. I can not turn it on via Function-F5. I'm running Windows XP.
If I uninstall the VPN, everything works fine, but I can't uninstall the VPN unless I first boot into safe mode.
I've removed Thinkvantage Access Connections but the Cisco VPN still disables my wireless radio.
What can I try next?
Cisco VPN disables WiFi on T42 with Intel 2200
I use Odyssey Client Manager (not Windows Zero Config) with a Cisco VPN and it works fine on a T4x.

I been using cisco vpn a lot using different versions of the client, but never seen the problem were the client turn off the radio. Neither did i ever have to uninstall the client in safe mode. I assume you got administrator access to the computer?
Anyway cisco vpn client 4.0.3a is about 3 years old so i would suggest trying a newer version of the client. You could either try the latest 4.0.x release which is 4.0.5d (also pretty old) or try some of the newer versions like 4.8.02.0010 or 5.0.01.0600. Both the version 4.8.02.0010 and 5.0.01.0600 is working fine and i had no issues with any of those.
I don't know what windows version you use, but version 4.8 and 5.0 require Windows 2000 or newer. If you use a older windows version i guess you have to use 4.0.5D.
